The 386 fragments catalogued here can be recomposed in 119 Hebrew manuscripts copied between the 10th and the 16th century in the three main Western writing traditions: Italian, Sephardic and Ashkenazic. They survived for having been re-used as bindings. Among them are the most ancient fragment of the Tosefta (10th century), the unknown Commentary of Yosef Qara to the Psalms (11th-12th century), texts of the Talmud, normative, liturgical, linguistic, philosophical and exegetical works.
